Innovation challenge

Participants shall work on the main event for the entire length of the hackathon and shall submit it on the third day as per the deadline which will be intimated well before time. A main theme along with several sub-themes shall be given to the teams on the first day of the event. They can use any programming language/software to create a working prototype of their idea related to the assigned theme and will be required to present the same to a panel of judges. 

 

Judging Criteria:

1. Innovation and Originality - 20%:

-Novelty of the idea

-Is it something new and unique?

​

2. Practicality and Viability - 25%:

-Is the project technically impressive and what is the maturity of technologies used?

-Is the idea practical and viable?

-Does the product have applications when applied outside of a hackathon setting?

​

3. User Experience (UI) - 15%:

-Did the team put thought into the user experience (simplicity and design)? 

​

4. Business Value - 15%:

-Does the idea have a relevant impact on the market? 

​

5. Societal Impact- 15%:

-Does the idea have a positive impact on the community?

​

6. Presentation - 10%: 

-The quality of the presentation.

-Clarity, effectiveness, completeness of the presentation.

-Do the prototype and the pitch clearly illustrate the solution, core functions, and features as they relate to the defined problem?
